Revitalizing ARTIS: Breathing New Life into an Old Brand

ARTIS Amsterdam, one of the oldest zoos in the world, has evolved over time to include museums, a Planetarium, and a botanical garden. However, these branches often felt disconnected. To create a unified identity, ARTIS Amsterdam collaborated with Springbok to develop a comprehensive visual language and campaign.

The campaign aimed to highlight the similarities between species and evoke a sense of wonder. It featured striking portraits of a wide range of earthlings, created using traditional photography and artificial intelligence. This visual language was brought to life across various platforms, including posters, digital screens, social media, and cinema.

Springbok also assisted ARTIS in making the vast topic of life’s interconnectedness relatable through the ‘museum of big questions’. This involved creating a new logo and launching a film that used illustrations to add a light-hearted touch to the big questions we all ponder.
